Shop for Success!

I'm teaming up with Dress for Success Worldwide-West to raise awareness for their 5th annual Shop For Success pop-up shop and was thrilled to create this promo video for the event!   Everything I'm wearing in it is on sale, up to 70% off, with designer brands including DVF, Tahari, Joe's Jeans, Alice & Olivia, Manolo Blahnik, Rachel Zoe, Jeffrey Campbell and Theory, just to name a few!

The four day shopping extravaganza takes place in Beverly Hills from November 19-22 and features more than 150 brands.  Shop for Success kicks-off with a star studded VIP night on November 19 from 5-9 p.m. emceed by yours truly!  The evening includes drinks, appetizers, gift bags, a silent auction AND elbowing celebrities out of the way to get to the good stuff.  Get your tickets here before they sell out, and remember 100% of what you spend goes directly to Dress For Success, making the shopping 100% guilt-free.  🙂  The remaining 3 days of the sale are open to the public.

Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Since starting operations in 1997, Dress for Success has expanded to almost 150 cities in 20 countries. To date, Dress for Success has helped more than 850,000 women work towards self-sufficiency.

As a business owner, entrepreneur, working single mom and straight-up hustler, I understand the value of the services Dress for Success provides.  I've experienced first-hand how an outfit, an inspiring workshop, a mentor's kind words or professional training can transform my entire outlook, instilling confidence in me and making things that once seemed impossible, not only attainable, but my reality.  I'm thankful for the opportunities my career has given me and honored to give back to other women to follow their professional dreams as well.

Hope to see you there!

Tough Chic

IMG_4361

I love dressing up for work, whether playing a fashionista, reporter, minivan mom, globe trotting creative or whatever the day has in store for me.  It's fun morphing characters through clothes, but truth be told, when I'm "off duty" this is how I really dress.  Distressed graphic tee, aviators, gold jewelry, skinny jeans and boots.  My uniform.

It makes me feel powerful, sexy and cool.  And when combined with my DIY faux-bob, look out... Mama's got her swag on.

As much as I enjoy getting girly with the best of 'em, deep down, I'm really just a wannabe bad-ass rocker chick.  Whitesnake, anyone?
